• 'Sara-surface' prevents the absorption of moisture into the mattress, by superficially absorbing it and releasing it through a surface not in contact with the body. As damp skin is a risk factor for bedsores, 'Sara-surface' attenuates the chances of this condition.

BED SHEAR STRESS REDUCTION

Proprietary 'Glide Sheet' fabric technology reduces bed shear stress induced by back raise motion.

• The mattress cover uses 'Glide Sheet' fabric to reduce friction, allowing the mattress cover to glide smoothly over the mattress cushion. This increased smoothness reduces bed shear stress. The pelvis area is designed to be less slippery.
